The CCA invited OLA and three Latino actuarial students to attend their 2019 annual meeting. Great opportunity to meet and connect with Consulting Actuaries in all fields. We thank the CCA for the invitation!

OLA sponsored two students to attend the Student Day in Austin at the CLRS conference organized by the Casualty Actuarial Society. Alejandro Ortega mentored the students and was also speaker at the conference.
OLA sponsored 20 students to attend the convention this year. OLA’s chair of mentorship Regina Kintana, Alejandro Ortega and Normando González mentored the students who had a great time connecting with each other, learning and attending the Career Fair.
Our president Carlos Orozco attended the 2019 conference of the International Association of Black Actuaries (IABA) representing OLA. We appreciate our partnership with the IABA!
Our president Carlos Orozco and president-elect Adelaida Campos participated in the four day boot camp organized by the International Association of Black Actuaries helping 40 actuarial students improve on their soft skills. One OLA student was able to participate.
